Sharp apples
Sharp apples have an acidity of >0.45% and a Tannin of <0.2%.
They are ideal for juicing and particularly mixing with Bittersweet apples to balance the acidity of drinks without the use of chemicals such as Malic acid.
Our main Sharp variety is Browns apple.
It may also suit individuals with a more sensitive palate.
Very few people find them appealing to eat.
We have transitioned from our former intensive "bush" orchards to an agroforestry growing system for our "sharp" fruit.
