Heritage Apples in bulk Tonne machine harvested

Some of our larger Heritage trees are too big to shake and catch. These are however configured to allow grass to grow under the trees so they can be mechanically harvested. These apples are machine harvested and whilst the utmost care is taken during handling and cleaning them, the sample you should expect will be subject to a degree of bruising and variation in apple sizes.

A mix of up to 25 traditional Heritage varieties.

Records of growing cider fruit at Throne Farm date back to the 17th Century.

Dark orchard and Anderson orchards remain largely unchanged from the traditional extensive "standard" grazed orchard.

They are grown as part of the mid tier stewardship scheme with absolutely no artificial inputs and with a view to doing our bit to maintain the historic Herefordshire orchard landscape.

As old trees have perished, we have replaced them with a multitude of traditional varieties.

These apples are machine harvested and whilst the utmost care is taken during handling and cleaning them, the sample you should expect will be subject to a degree of bruising and variation in apple sizes.
