It’s been an extremely challenging season, but having chosen not to over promise the potential supply of fruit, I am pleased to say that recent rain has at least recovered the fruit sufficiently to open up availability of our cider apples.
We have some extra Bittersharp Browns apples now available, beyond what was already provisionally ordered.
The same applies to Harry Masters Jersey apples and we plan to move in to harvest the Dabinett in the near future with enough confidence to also open this up for additional sales.
I must thank all our customers for their understanding of the situation this year and hope to reassure any new customers that, as frustrating and stressful as our approach may appear, it is in my mind the only fair way to approach the supply of high quality, fresh Cider apples and Perry pears.
