Finally at 6am on 27th August we had some rain!
A week later and it’s still unclear as to the effect that this may have on yield by causing the fruit to swell and preventing the trees from dropping fruit prematurely.
It is nearly impossible to predict what yields of fruit we are likely to achieve this year
The dilemma remains with regards to avoiding “over promising and under delivering”.
For that reason I have taken the decision today to withdraw fruit from any NEW sales.
We are extremely grateful for the pre order sales that we have received and will retain the plan set out in my post on 11th August.
As we get closer to harvest I will be able to hopefully update more accurately with regards to commiting to pre orders.
